Description
The new Italian Project 1a covers the requirements at the A1 level of the Common European Framework and is aimed at adults and young adults (16+).
The pack includes:
- The first six units of both the Student’s Book (standard version) and the Workbook.
- Video based activities (episodes 1-5)
- An educational game
- A DVD (compatible with Windows and Mac)
- An audio CD containing the introductory dialogues for the units and texts for listening comprehension and pronunciation.
- An i-d-e-e code, which is a personal code that gives access to the interactive version of the exercises and other resources on the i-d-e-e platform.
The new Italian Project 1a is the newly updated version for English speaking students of the best-selling Italian course for foreigners in the world, Nuovissimo Progetto italiano 1. The structure and the philosophy of the course are unchanged, as are its main features:

In this edition for English speakers, the instructions for the activities, the objectives of the units, the rules of the educational game and the Supplementary Grammar are all written in English. Finally, the Italian- English Glossary includes the translation of the words and expressions from the Student’s Book and the Workbook, and completes this edition.

Compared to the previous edition,
The new Italian Project 1a features:
- New shorter, more spontaneous dialogues, that are closer to the spoken language
- Reviewed audio tracks, recorded by professional actors
- A broader variety of teaching methods and more inductive and engaging activities
- Game activities in every unit
- An inductive and lighter approach to grammar (some of the tables have been moved to the new, in-depth Grammar section)
- New video episodes, which are better integrated with the structure of the course (they complete or anticipate the introductory dialogues), and new episodes of the Quiz “Lo so io” (“I know that”)
- Improved continuity between the units, thanks to the presence of the main characters in the different situations in the video episodes
- Update culture pages: shorter texts and more focussed information
- The Workbook in full colour, presents more varied activities and greater recycling of vocabulary
