Forte! is an original and innovative course for children aged 4-11 who start learning Italian whether in Italy or abroad.
All volumes of the course are linked together by an illustrated in comic-strips with the adventures of five kids of different nationalities, their friends and some fantastic characters.
The course can be adapted to different teaching methods and contexts thanks to the wide range of materials, the recreational activities and the contents presented with a spiral approach.

The course is based on a thorough analysis on children’s linguistic and communicative needs when they first start learning Italian, and proceeds forward while constantly having the children at the spotlight of the teaching-learning process.
Under this prospect, we have taken into consideration the importance of motivating children to learn the language through a recreational and involving approach. In order to actually respect the natural process of learning a language, the course provides an entirely oral approach to Italian in the volume Piccolo e forte! A, and only in Piccolo e forte! B it does introduce Italian in written.
The Student’s book of Piccolo e forte! B includes the following:
1 Introductory Unit and 6 Units divided into two subunits, introduced by songs and followed by stimulating activities and a short listening of an episode also illustrated in comic-strips. Activities are marked by one or more symbols to make clear the task at hand;
2 Intervalli!!!, recapitulation through stimulating and fun activities and games;
L'angolo delle formule, collection of all the expressions learned
L’angolo dell'ABC, providing the first tools to learn how to read and write in Italian
Il tesoro delle parole, a small picture dictionary, useful to consolidate on and revise the vocabulary acquired;
L’angolo del taglia e incolla, images to cut and use during the suggested activities;
1 audio CD, attached in the book, including all the audio tracks, nursery rhymes and songs
Piccolo e forte! B is completed by the Teacher’s Guide that offers detailed explanations, guidelines and suggestions on how to do the activities and play the games. It also includes useful material to photocopy and use.
