Avventure a Firenze - After a fantastic, carefree summer, our friends Anna, Carla, Bruno and Gianni return to Rome. Here, one of them will have to deal with some small health problems, others will have relationship troubles; but all of them will have to confront a threatening, mysterious figure, an old acquaintance of theirs. Fear and a need to not worry about him will lead them on a trip to Florence. But will they really be safe there? Another story full of twists, suspense, but also moments of fun and enjoyment. A black comedy, in fact.
Avventure italiane is a small collection of illustrated stories, the same ones that the Italian language manual
Via del Corso. is based on. The manual’s huge success, as well as the positive comments made about its subject led us to put these stories out there for everyone, whether studying Italian or not.
Each story is based and narrated in a different Italian city: Rome, Florence, Venice and Naples, though the Eternal City remains a constant point of reference throughout.
Each volume of the Avventure italiane collection includes:
- 24 illustrated episodes with photos or cartoons;
- 10-12 different situations and the same number of thematic and lexical areas;
- interactive final: students choose how the story ends;
- the Italia&italiani page: cultural information on the city behind the story, accompanied by a video;
- 1 didactic game on the city in which the story is set: students have fun while helping each other to revise;
- comprehension exercises on the episodes, expressions and discursive signals contained within the dialogues, on the Italia&italiani page and video;
- solutions to the activities: students can practice in complete autonomy;
- trailer of the adventures that continue in another city

The volumes in this collection are also aimed at students studying or who have studied Italian with Via del Corso, but not before or during the academic year in which they will find the story in their manual, but afterwards as a pleasant way to revise.
Avventure a Roma (A1): Anna, Carla, Bruno and Gianni: four young friends accompanying us as we discover the beautiful city of Rome as they go out to have fun and take walks, work or look for work and… fall in love. All good then… until they find themselves caught up in solving a “mystery”: a couple living next door to Anna are a little strange. The question is: “is he dangerous?”… but above all, “is she in danger?”
Avventure a Venezia (B1): After a long courtship, Carla and Gianni finally get together! However, their relationship risks ending before it’s even begun… Gianni has to move to Venice for work. But luck seems to be on their side: Carla has also found a job in the Venetian lagoon! No city is more romantic than Venice, but it is all too good to be true! In fact, Gianni gradually starts to realise the true nature of his work, and nothing will be quite the same. He will soon have to choose a side!
Avventure a Napoli (B2): Forced to flee from Venice, Gianni and Carla decide to move to Naples with Anna and Bruno as Bruno is managing the excavations in Pompei. Naples means “new city”: what better place to start a new life? But then Anna receives a mysterious phone call. To solve the mystery, she will have to involve her friends in an incredible treasure hunt through the streets of Naples!
