Features
Forte! is an original and innovative course for children aged 4-11 who start learning Italian whether in Italy or abroad.
The course includes: Piccolo e forte! A and Piccolo e Forte! B (both preparatory volumes),
Forte! 1 (A1),
Forte! 2 (A1+) and
Forte! 3 (A2).
Forte! 3 has the same structure as the other books and reflects the philosophy (a humanistic-affective approach and an inductive and playful grammar teaching) and the structure of the entire course.
The
Student's Book and Workbook consist of:
- 1 introductory unit + 7 units, which are linked together by a funny little story and are divided into three sub-units presenting a motivating activity related to the story. Each unit is completed by comprehension and production activities, songs and nursery rhymes.
- A Vocabolario section at the end of each unit helps the student to revise the new words.
- An Intervallo!!! section every two units which offers a wide range of stimulating and fun activities and games.
- An Esercitiamoci! section, useful to consolidate and reuse the structures that have been covered.
- L'angolo della grammatica, which presents grammar summary tables, structures and examples.
- L'angolo del taglia e incolla in the appendix offers images and sentences to cut out and use in the activities.
- A CD-ROM attached to the book contains for each unit, a dialogue in 3D animation (with or without subtitles) and all the songs in karaoke version. To find out more click here.
- An audio CD containing songs and audio tracks, which is included with the Student's book at no extra cost.
The educational activities, while respecting the different cognitive styles and the natural stages of learning a language, are mainly based on a humanistic and affective approach and on playful methods. The thread of the course are the funny adventures of five children of different nationalities and their friends.
The listening tracks and dialogues present a correct language model, but as close as possible to the current language.
The wide range of materials and the systematic revision of contents presented in a spiral approach, make Forte! a flexible tool, adaptable to different learning styles and different teaching contexts.

Teacher's Guide, that offers detailed explanations, guidelines and suggestions on how to do the activities and play the games. It also includes useful material to photocopy, maps, images to play memory, tombola and flash-cards (the flash-cards can also be downloaded from the material on the right);
