Teaching Italian to foreign students using theatrical plays – Intermediate/Advanced (B2-C2)

The volume presents the Italian language focusing on oral expression, often enriched with colloquial and regional expressions.

Invito a teatro is divided into two sections:

• 5 units on the Italian puppet and marionette theater repertoire
• 5 units on the works of the greatest theatrical authors (Goldoni, Verga, Praga, Pirandello and De Filippo)

Each unit includes:

• Background information, the author’s biography and information on his work
• A glossary to facilitate comprehension and stimulate linguistic reflection
• Activities to both work on the texts and develop the student’s speaking and writing skills
• Keys to all activities
