Nuovo Progetto italiano Junior 1 is the first of 3 volumes in a modern Italian course for young foreigners from 11 to 16 years of age.
The course narrates a pleasant story, told through a graphic novel and a sit-com, about four Italian teenagers that students will be able to identify with as they have the same interests, have to deal with the same problems, live similar experiences. All dealt with realism and humour, respecting the rhythms and needs of young learners.
In each volume, the four protagonists of the story are required to complete a mission:in the second one, they will have to save an abandoned area of the city.

Compared to the previous edition, Nuovo Progetto italiano Junior 1 provides:
- a new story: each volume is based on a story told through a graphic novel and a sit-com
- a mission (to save the dogs from the kennel) which the protagonists must complete: the aim is to involve the students while at the same time educating them, transmitting positive values: to believe in themselves, get to work for the common good, defend the weakest, etc.
- more spontaneous dialogues, closer to the spoken language, acted by talented young actors
- new more modern and dynamic comics, more suitable for students of this age group, just like the entire graphic set up of the course
